Day 1: First day: Arrival in Cusco + City tour.
Upon arrival at the Cusco city airport, one of our representatives will be waiting to transport you to your selected hotel. In the afternoon the City tour will take place, which will include a visit to the cathedral which has two naves, the company of Jesus and the holy family, inside you will see paintings from the colonial era and the Cusco school, then we will visit the Qoricancha, known as the temple of the sun, today is part of the convent of Santo Domingo. You will see pre-Inca, Inca and colonial-era constructions. Then we will leave the city of Cusco, visiting 4 archaeological zones: Sacsayhuaman, known as the Inca sanctuary, Q’enqo. Also called zigzag place, Tambomachay place dedicated to the cult of water, Pucapucara also called red fortress, finally we return to the city of Cusco. Day 2: Second day: Sacred Valley Tour connection to Machupicchu town.
Breakfast at the selected hotel; In the morning, pick up from your hotel to enjoy the tour of the sacred valley. On the way we will make a brief stop at the Taray viewpoint, where we will appreciate a beautiful landscape of the sacred valley of the Incas, then we will visit Pisaq, the typical market where you can buy crafts, textiles (souvenirs), etc. Then we will take a short walk inside the archaeological complex visiting the Kallacasa sectors, agricultural platforms, water sources, and cemetery. Later we go to Urubamba where we will have our buffet lunch (local cuisine) continuing our trip towards Ollantaytambo, a living Inca city, after our guided tour we will go to the station to board the train to Machupicchu town, upon arrival our staff will be waiting to take you to your selected hotel. Day 3: Third day: Machupicchu Tour – Ollantaytambo train – Cusco transportation.
Breakfast at the selected hotel; In the morning we will board the ecological bus towards the Inca Sanctuary of Machupicchu, the guided tour lasts approximately 2 hours and then free time. Its walls, the intiwatana, plazas, terraces, water fountains, enclosures, staircases from the Inca period, make Machupicchu one of the seven wonders of the world. Optionally, you can take the walk to the viewpoints of Huaynapicchu and/or Machupicchu Mountain, which will take a few hours depending on the physique of each person (The visit is without a guided tour). At the end of the guided tour, we will board the return bus to the town of Machupicchu – hot waters, free time for lunch, then we go to the station to board our return train to Ollantaytambo and take our transportation to the city of Cusco. Day 4: Fourth day: Maras – Moray Tour (Half day)
Breakfast at the selected hotel, at the indicated time (08:00 – 08:30 hrs) pick up from your hotel to enjoy the tour of Maras and Moray, on the way you will be able to appreciate beautiful picturesque landscapes such as the Vilcanota mountain range, the snow-capped mountains of “ The Chicon and the Veronica” First we will visit the archaeological complex of Moray, a set of circular platforms that in Inca times served as an agricultural laboratory, then we will continue towards the salt mines known as the Salineras, made up of about two thousand small wells, which in Inca times served for the extraction of salt and today the local people continue to take advantage of this resource as an economic means and continue with the customs of their ancestors. Day 5: Fifth day: Colored Mountain Tour – Vinincunca.
Pick up from your hotel will be in the early morning (04:00 – 04:30 a.m.) and then we will head towards the south of the city of Cusco; for an approximate two-hour journey until we reach the town of Cusipata – Paucarpata where we will enjoy a delicious semi-buffet breakfast, then we will continue for 40 minutes to the starting point of the walk, the guide will give you a brief recommendation to start the walk which It lasts approximately one hour and thirty minutes, to reach the mountain of colors – Vinincunca which is located at 5020 meters above sea level, 16,466 feet throughout the journey we will observe the flora and fauna of the area, llamas, shepherd alpacas with the typical costume In the area, the landscape is surrounded by beautiful snow-capped peaks that are part of the Andes mountain range, the Apu or God Ausangate (sacred mountain) is one of the highest in southern Peru. Our guide will explain the orography, ecosystem, location of the area, then free time for photographs. Later, we will return to transportation to Cusipata for our buffet lunch. Finally we will return to the city of Cusco. Includes: Transportation, professional guide, Semi buffet breakfast, buffet lunch, entrance to Colores Mountain, selected hotel.
Day 6: Sixth day: South Valley
Breakfast at the selected hotel; In the morning I will pick you up from your hotel to enjoy the South Valley tour, then we will travel to the south of the city of Cusco. Our first stop will be at the archaeological zone of Tipón, where you can see huge agricultural platforms which have an advanced hydraulic system. , then we will visit the Pikillaqta archaeological complex that deals with the pre-Inca WARI culture, you will appreciate deposits (qolcas), houses, streets, buildings up to 4 stories high. Then we will visit the colonial temple of Andahuaylillas, better known as the Andean Sistine Chapel for the mural painting from the 17th and 18th centuries made by the Cusco school, works in gold leaf, upon return you will have the option to taste typical dishes of the area (Optional/ not included), finally we will return to the city of Cusco. Includes: Breakfast, Transportation, professional guide, income, selected hotel. Not included: Lunch.
Day 7: Seventh day: Humantay Lagoon Tour.
Pick-up from your hotel will be in the early morning (04:00 – 04:30 a.m.), then we will take a trip in our vehicle until we reach the town of Mollepata where we will enjoy a delicious semi-buffet breakfast, and then continue for another hour towards the starting point called Soraypampa, where we will begin the walk until we reach the Humantay lagoon which is located at an altitude of 4,200 meters above sea level. Arriving at the place we will be able to appreciate a beautiful landscape, surrounded by beautiful snow-capped peaks that are part of the Andes mountain range. After all the explanation, the guide will give you free time for photographs, then we will return to Soraypampa – Mollepata for our buffet lunch and finally we will return to the city of Cusco. Day 8: Eighth day: Transfer to Cusco airport.

How fit do I need to be to do this trek?
Annapurna Base Camp is a Grade B or a moderately difficult trekking route. So any fit person can do this trek, even if you do not have any previous experience. You should be aware of what to expect and mentally prepare for it. Then, as long as you will to, you can.
How long do we walk every day when doing Annapurna Base Camp trekking?
On average, you walk about 4 to 6 hours per day. One or two days can be as less as 3hrs and one or two days can be as long as 7hrs.
What is the highest altitude reached in this trek?
The highest altitude reached is 4190m. This is the elevation of Annapurna Base Camp. ABC is the highest we will climb in this trek.
What about battery charging and hot shower facilities?
Yes, you can charge batteries en route. Charger should be brought. There are hot shower facilities as well. You may have to pay certain amount for both ($1-$2). Negotiate. Also, hot water facility could be free at lower elevation.
Are there ATMs on the way to Annapurna Base Camp?
No. There are no ATMs on this trek route. You will have to draw enough cash in Pokhara or Kathmandu. There are a number of ATMs in these cities. Everything is paid in Nepali rupees. So money should be exchanged before the start of the trek.
What about internet access?
Yes. Internet can be accessed in most places. Sometimes, there might be some technical problems. Internet in Nepal is not as fast as you are used to and at times you can just lose connection.
Is it necessary to hire Guides/trekking agency for Annapurna Base Camp trekking?
Not really. It depends on you. If you want, ABC trekking can be done independently. You could hire a guide and a porter by yourself instead of going through an agency or not hire a guide at all. Although, not having a guide can be a little problematic during off season.
It really depends on you. Is it your first time in Nepal? How confident are you of being able to find your way around? How pressed on time are you? If you go through an agency, it will be costlier but everything will be planned. You will only have to come, trek and return.
How much do guides and porters cost?
For Annapurna region, pay for guides range from $20 to $30 per day and porters take $15 to $25 per day.
